Home whitening

At-home bleaching allows the creation of whiter brighter smile gradually over the course of a few weeks. By using a lower and therefore safer percentage concentration of whitening agent, you can achieve long lasting results without harming the gums and soft tissues.

Your dentist will take impressions of your teeth to allow us to have custom made soft plastic trays made with our laboratory, which can the be used to whiten your teeth, by filling with whitening gel and placing over your teeth either during the day or night for a specified time over about 2-3 weeks. We will take a shade of your teeth before commencing treatment so we can gauge the level of whitening you have achieved during your course of treatment.

Additionally, maintaining good oral hygiene practices can help prolong the results of teeth whitening treatments.

As a minimum we recommend regular six monthly check-up and hygiene appointments, to ensure your smile stays as bright, healthy and white.

It is important to note that teeth whitening may not be suitable for everyone, and results can vary based on factors like tooth discoloration and individual habits. Potential side effects may include temporary tooth sensitivity, however any issues will be monitored by your dentist.
