Anti wrinkle/wrinkle reduction treatments
Anti wrinkle treatment involves injections of a purified protein that target specific muscles to temporarily paralyse/reduce the muscle movements which are responsible for causing lines and wrinkles.
Specific injection of the purified protein prevents muscle contractions therefore softening existing lines whilst also preventing new lines forming for the duration of treatment.
Patients must be deemed clinically suitable and medically fit for treatment and a thorough consultation will be carried out prior to treatment.
Treatment areas include:
Frown/Forehead/Crows Feet/Bunny Lines/Smoker Lines/Downturn Mouth Corners/Chin Dimpling(Orange Peel)
This treatment has benefits beyond wrinkle reduction and with strategic injection technique the following treatments can also be achieved:
It can also be used to treat medical conditions such as hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating).
Effects of treatment can often be seen within days, however it will take 14 days to take full effect. Re-treatment is advised between 12-16 weeks for the best results long-term, however this will be personal and may vary from person to person.
The treatment involves the use of very fine needles, this means minimal discomfort to the patient.
It is often described as a lunch time treatment as there is little to no downtime needed. However, as with any needle treatment, there is a small risk of bleeding, bruising, redness and swelling. Other risks are minimal and will be discussed further during your consultation.
